Beading and Crimp Unit

To optimize processes for the mass production of batteries, H&T Tool Design offers special devices to support the sample production.

H&T Tool Design offers standardized devices with market proven technologies:

Beading Unit
For beading of a groove in the battery can to create a seat for the lid assembly of a rechargeable battery cell.

Crimping Unit
For bending the opening of the battery can inwards over the lid assembly to finally close the cell. This process is supported by hooding the can inside the groove.

Customer specific modification of these devices allows the production of various can types. For individual requirements H&T Tool Design develops simple mechanical as well as complex devices, including hydraulic and pneumatic components.
